Invoice automation

Istanbul Okan University, Financial Office

Form to finished invoice, shown at 2× speed. Internal tool used by the financial office.

A tool that turns tuition and dormitory payment requests into finished proforma invoices in about a minute.

Problem
Invoices were made by hand in Word, about 5 minutes each, 1,000+ of them in peak months.
What I built
Reads invoice requests from email, looks up the student in the database, fills a guided form (fee type, program, amounts) and generates a ready-to-send Word invoice.
Result
About 5 min → 1 min per invoice. Roughly 67 hours saved in a peak month.

HSDG platform

Huawei Student Developer Group

The HSDG access manager with per-member permissions, member emails blurred

Public site, admin panel, and the per-member access manager.

Community platform for a university tech club: events, hackathons and project tracking for 40+ members.

Problem
The club ran everything (events, sponsors, projects, members) through WhatsApp group chats, with no shared source of truth.
What I built
A public site with a scroll-scrubbed hero (192 frames synced to scroll), plus a custom admin panel so non-technical teammates edit events, projects, team and socials without code: calendar, meeting rooms, project and sponsor trackers, and per-member permissions.
Result
Replaced WhatsApp as the club's coordination hub during the school year.

Fersan Al Aqsa

UAE building contractor

Interactive project map, and the English and Arabic versions side by side.

Bilingual (EN/AR) corporate site for a Sharjah contractor with 200+ projects delivered since 2003.

Problem
The company had no website, so potential clients couldn't find or check them online.
What I built
Full English/Arabic support with proper RTL from day one, and an interactive map of delivered projects across the Emirates with project detail cards.
Result
The client was happy with the result, and the site brings in real calls and quote requests.

Al Arabia Garage

UAE auto repair shop

The site on a phone, and the Google Business Profile it feeds.

Bilingual, mobile-first site plus Google Business Profile for a UAE garage, built around one-tap call and WhatsApp.

Problem
No website and no Google presence, so customers had no quick way to find the garage or get in touch.
What I built
A single page designed for one action (call or WhatsApp right away), with directions, opening hours, a "save contact" card, and a Google Business Profile I set up and manage.
Result
The owner was happy with the result. The Google Business Profile has 417 customer interactions and a 4.3★ rating (as of Nov 2026).

About

Built for the real problem.

I'm Salah, a Syrian developer based in Istanbul, studying Software Engineering at Istanbul Okan University. I learned what software is really for while working part-time at the university's financial office: I watched people spend hours on invoices, so I built a tool that turns each one around in about a minute.

Since then I've built a platform for the 40+ members of the Huawei Student Developer Group, where I also organize events and game jams, and bilingual websites for businesses in the UAE. Now I'm building in public, sharing what I make and learn along the way.

With clients I keep it simple: a clear plan, progress you can see at every step, and software that's fast, looks good and solves the real problem.

USD, milestone-based: 50% deposit, 50% on final approval. Hosting, domains and API costs are not included; we agree in the quote whose accounts they run on. No project or phase goes above $1,500; bigger ideas are split into phases.

Payment, timelines, revisions, ownership. If yours is not here, ask me on the call.

  • 50% deposit to start, 50% when you approve the final result. Bank transfer or PayPal, in USD. Transfer fees are paid by the sender.

  • Launch takes about 1 week, Business 2–3 weeks, and Custom 2–4 weeks per phase. You get the exact timeline in your quote before we start.

  • 2 feedback rounds per phase. Extra changes after that are quoted separately, so there are no surprises.

  • Yes. I work remotely with clients anywhere. My recent client projects were for businesses in the UAE. Calls happen online, booked through my calendar.

  • You own the code once the final payment is made. In the quote we agree whether hosting, domain and API accounts are in your name or managed by me.

  • Yes, 2 weeks of free support after launch for bugs and small fixes. After that, changes are quoted separately.

  • A short description of your goal, your logo, text and photos (I can help you prepare them), and access to your domain if you already have one.

  • Within 24 hours, by email or WhatsApp.
